A racket can genuinely break of course - but it's mostly temper-tantruming because certain professional tennis players have the emotional control of a professional toddler some of the time.
Plus, racket frames are bendier than they used to be. I'd put money on no one attacking a net post with a [i]wooden[/i] racket.
