Why drug labs (meth labs for instance) are so popular in the outside world. They have had basic chemistry and can figure other methods for doing things.

@PDXNative1986 haven't seen any real entertainment movies unless they were on TV. So I haven't watched that movie.

Yet having been in hazardous materials I have had to have that training in spotting the equipment in drug labs.

I worked at a dump and that's where that stuff was often recovered. By us workers.

@DeWayfarer it was a television show about a chemistry teacher who got cancer and didn't have much of anything to his name so he started selling Crystal meth to pay for his treatment and because of the realities of the drug trade ended up having to expand his ambitions under various Cartel leaders.

5 seasons. Jesse is kinda the shows clown/idiot. And yet magnets were his idea.

@PDXNative1986 I'll give another example. Homeless here often ask for lighters here. Not to light anything really. Yet because the darn butane valve in lighters.

It gives a precise amount of gass needed to make certain drugs.

@DeWayfarer Oh, I have a thing for Butane lighters already. Already learned where to buy butane to refill them. I like Candles and incense ;x I'm a lot like the ladies that way.

@PDXNative1986 yep I could go on and now about other stuff like kitty litter in instead of baking soda or why I have so many fire extinguishers. Want to cool something down quickly? Use a fire extinguisher. CO2 is a coolant.

Problem with a lot of homemade labs is that are not very cautious on how things are done. So you have a lot of houses being blown up or people getting hurt any number of ways.

@PDXNative1986 like I mentioned elsewhere. I really think eight bit characters are useless against today's technology. I was using Alt 255 (binding space) and other none standard characters even on bestcrypt back in the 90s.

With today's Unicode characters being as much as 32 bits you quadruple the length.

@DeWayfarer Only Idiots use passwords 8 digits or fewer, But fortunately for us crackers there are a lot of idiots out there.
