The latest news. The AI bubble burst months ago.

AI requires a ton of computer memory. Who makes memory storage? Seagate. Look at the stock price. Without data centers they have no place to sell drives to. Until the safeguards, energy and water usage issues are addressed it's not going to happen. Robots will be next. I'm guessing that people have decided that they don't want to be replaced by machines.

It's not just Seagate. The company buys the NAND chips it uses from Micron Technologies and Toshiba. Micron Went up 330%.

Memory sticks went up 4X.

The cost of your laptop went up, or is in now on backorder, because chip vendors shifted capacity to prioritize data-center bound chips.

The entire supply chain went up 3X-4X.

Sure, my 401K is up, but so did everyone I buy.

I just priced the Mac I'm going to buy to replace my current model: $7,500!

@Northwest heh i bought stock in micron out of spite. I figured they really screwed pc gaming, but atleast I could use thier stock gains to offset any replacement costs. I'm in no way saying that is a sound plan lol
