It is just a scammer using a scare tactic, similar to the ones where they say they cannot deliver some Amazon or UPS package (though you have ordered nothing) or you owe the IRS (even though the IRS doesn't call), or the ones where they say they have footage of you enjoying "adult" material but they will delete it if you send them bitcoin.
Any time something is written poorly like that, rest assured it is a scam.
OR if it is from a service you have never even used.
But yeah that number SAYS it is apple support but the web address is really we*rd. It is NOT Apple.

Yikes ! That’s a phishing attempt I hadn’t seen yet. The wording indicates an non-native English speaker composed it.

@bijouxbroussard Yes. Or a semi-literate English speaker.
It’s kind of insulting. If you’re criminal enough to do it, at least do it right.

Block and delete . It’s fake af. I googled the phone number and it’s not apple.

@Jenny1234 Yep. It’s not. I called the real Apple number and sent them the screen shot. I’m out of it!

Delete and ignore. They are looking for conformation that you are panicked by their "revelation". Extortion to follow.

@bowman81 I called Apple’s actual number and to my surprise after only a brief struggle, talked to an agent and sent the screen shot to them.
Thanks!
Thanks!
