Has any one noticed anything since the Cloudflare outage?

All of a sudden my Duck Duck Go search engine won't bring up a lot of porn related images.

I tried Duck Duck Go and brave and a few others I searched up just to check.
Brave is wild because with it's safe search off it gives me no porn image results but it I set it to moderate it shows the adult images.

I didn't have any problems until the other day when almost everything was out because of Cloudflare.

You're 3+ days late to the party.

@Northwest I searched for topics about this and can't seem to find anything recent.

I know I am slow. It took me a while to connect the Couldflare outage and my weird search results.

Do you know anything about it?

@MikeHurts On 18 November 2025 at 11:20 UTC, Cloudflare's network began experiencing significant failures to deliver core network traffic. This showed up to Internet users trying to access our Cloudflare's customer sites as an error page indicating a failure within Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare initially thought this was a hyper-scale DDoS attack.

Turns out it was triggered by a change to one of their database systems' permissions which caused the database to output multiple entries into a “feature file” used by their Bot Management systemm caused it to double in size causing the software to fail.

@Northwest Ok thank you for that but how would that alter my image results in multiple search engines now?

@MikeHurts

I went to the top of the thread to see your question again. DuckDuckGo relies primarily on data from Bing and also Yahoo, Wikipedia and Wolfram Alpha, in addition to their own web crawler. Around a couple of years ago, search results started to change, and this trend accelerated recently, so your experience here is not surprising.

@Northwest Gotcha. Thank you.
