Buy a used phone from eBay. You can save up to 50% buying an open box or gently used model.

Also, you don't need the latest and the greatest. A good smart phone from 3 years ago is perfectly usable.

Mine was about 50 and just basic. I never use it. I wasted my money.

Yeah it's ridiculous, but because everyone bought them, they kept selling them and the mobile died out. Now it's basically required to have one.
