What’s up with your home screen?

This is a mobile screen shot of mine. There currently aren’t any user profiles at the top whereas there have been several old ones at times or only one current user sometimes. It’s just a weird and quirky algorithm. Also, the feed of posts still seems to be very limited, so I don’t think I’m getting a lot of the new stuff, despite making adjustments suggested by others. (Yes, I know what to click for new posts but not a lot show up there) That makes it look like there isn’t a lot of activity here. That’s not good for the site, I think. Anyway, I don’t want to bash on the admins because I believe they’re trying hard to make this place as accommodating as possible. Just some weirdness going on.
