They refer to the new register system as Next Gen

That seems to make sense at first. We need Geordi LaForge to come in and operate the blinking thing for us, we who were born in the 20th century sure have a devil of a time trying to figure it out. Having worked with it for over a week now I say they should call it DS9. Specifically the early seasons of DS9. The same level of technology as Next Gen, but it is largely alien and the bloody thing just doesn't work right. Would that make me Commander Sisko? I could do worse. But I think I'd rather be Dax.

It is frustrating but I am trying to have a sense of humor about it.
