Landlines.There is no point to them when we have cellphones.
3G signal is being turned off soon.About two years time I think.
@tallpowerhouseblonde it’s already gone for the US.

All major US cellular networks shut down legacy 3G support in 2022. AT&T shut down its 3G GSM network in late February, T-Mobile began shutting down part of its network at the end of March, and Verizon officially sunset its legacy network on December 31.

@JustGoneNow We must be running a little behind the U.S. here.
@tallpowerhouseblonde it’s based on what the carriers can do. They can’t leave people with nothing.
@tallpowerhouseblonde and how quickly.

@JustGoneNow We have 4G and 5G here.
@tallpowerhouseblonde We do too but my guess is the carriers here we’re able to show how they could convert their legacy base, so as few as possible would be affected. Communications for people is a big deal… especially with so few a people even having landlines anymore.

@JustGoneNow We are still doing the 5G rollout.The signal does not not have coverage everywhere.Remote locations are struggling up to now.
