I don't use ARM and am still over on X86_64, But I'm aware the power usage and Heating advantage goes to ARM and that from an Engineering Standpoint we really ought to retire X86_64.
This is another thing Apple Stole. My sole hope is that Apple's move forces the Rest of the Desktop market to follow suit.
