If you want "privacy" on searches I would also rec building a Linux box and creating your own instance of Searx

At least if you control the software you can delete the logs or even write a script to secure erase them if it doesn't have the tools to be configured to not generate them in the first place. (i'm not yete sure, I haven't yet doneso.)
