Ok You Geeks. I need Help!!!!!!

I have external drives. I keep all my editing programs on. Well, my legally bought ones.
I had to format them because something, I don't know what, WEnt wrong. They started not letting me access the drives and said I needed to format the drive in order to use it again.
So I got a free program online that copied all the stuff on the drive and I saved it.
I formatted the drive and copy and pasted the info back to it.
Now it keeps saying that I can't open the programs and I should find one that works on my machine.
What in Gods name is going on.

When programs are installed, they write stuff to the "Windows" directory.

Without those components... the whole program needs to be reinstalled to run again.

@SW-User Crap. I got those programs for payment for making videos.
I was using hacked programs and the guy didn't like it so he bought me the safe ones.
I no longer talk with him and they were bought on Humble bundle.
