If I buy an annual prepaid product that includes a high overall price plus tax, will it mean that I will be billed annually with my card?

Or would I need to purchase the product again with the same annual prepaid price at the end of the year, each year?
I'm curious and need to buy something for a whole year, but this year is about to end.
