I love Speedo's

In my youth Speedo's were very popular and every holiday I took them and loved to swim in the sea or at campsite pools .

They look smart!

Were they actually "Speedo" brand? I thought that is quite new but may be wrong. The name is a brand not a style, and many other companies made similar swimming-trunks.
