Passed the swim test at the YMCA

It’s for a job interview to be a lifeguard there. I wore myself out because I thought I was gonna be timed swimming four laps but turns out the only part I was being timed for was staying above the water for one minute. Then I had to do ten laps for five different types of swim styles. I passed all that stuff then they said I need to give them three job references, so I just gave them my friends emails and phones numbers and told them to say they were my managers and coworkers. Overall I’m looking forward to working there seems like a nice place.

Though i Understand their Desire for 3 refrences..

Isnt there a Shortage of Life-Guards
The job is inside watch at Biggest an Olympic sized pool and Not thelong shore line of the Ocean-Beach

They Should be More then Glad you Clearly Qualify and Hire you

Thats My 2 cents..lol

On a Funny note
I used to get to a Resevior beach 2 hiurs before lifeguards even showed up
So by that time..i couldnt hear them screaming or whisling that 8 was too far out

Typically swimming 2-3 hours out
Then the 2-3 hours back to the beach
At times..in getting back 1 or both lifeguards used to be like.....
You know we likely wont get out to you in time if you have issues
(Apparently.seeing me through binoculars at times..as ide for a few secs go underwater to get whatever out of my hair..but they mistook that for me struggling)
So i replied...well Not too worry
But though im indeed strong enough to swim bringing one of yiu back
I doubt i can drag both of you back
So...No worries im fune...lol

They didnt like that

Well done ! I hope they don't find out it's your friends e mails and numbers though.
