Maybe because New Zealand wasn't sailing. Boat is under repair and maybe out for months. The French should be back next event.

Not because New Zealand was not sailing but because of the possible consequences if said winner was not declared the winner.

You know how persuasive some people can be when they say "Make Sailing Great Again". That's not something to take lightly...
