Best way to get back?

It was easier getting to this river island than it is going to be getting back. I should have thought this through better. To the left it gets deep and its a fast current. A few small log jams are probably "strainers". Ahead of that its really shallow for a ways out but gets deep again with the really fast current. To the right its slower but gets deep and the current will try to suck me back to the left again. Its shallow enough directly to the right of me that i can walk all the way across, but once there it would be trek through the woods and private property. Its harder than it looks. I think my best bet it to go to the right shore through the shallows and then walk up river hugging the bank, then get out under the bridgr..
