A Starboard Tack

I'm on a very familiar starboard tack right now bearing 225° out of Lewis Bay at 41.6° North, 70.28° West.

Today's my last day on the boat this year. She's being hauled tomorrow for the season. It's a bit depressing, as it is each year. This is my true home, my world. I am and always have been of the sea. She is in me and I am of her. And it is in her cool embrace that I always feel most at home.

It's about 62°F right now (17°C) with almost overcast skies, some sun peeking through. The forecast includes some passing showers, but nothing major. Winds are out of the southeast at about 9 knots. Seas are choppy with white caps as far as the eye can see.

I'll be on and off SW today, but know that I am home and at peace with the world in the loving embrace of the sea. 😌

@KiwiBird Thank you my friend! ❤️
I am home in my townhouse now. I stripped a ton of gear from the boat this evening and will finish the job in the morning before she's pulled from the water.

I'll get there early and Alex will join me later. Likely with a large coffee for herself and a tea for me. 😌
