@emmasfriend Definitely a young boy in typical denim shorts of the 1970's. At that age there would not be much difference between the two.

I wore denim shorts like that as much as I possibly could-summer and winter. Really good when on my bike. Worn not just when I was a boy but at university as well.

@strictshorts The reason being denim shorts are hard wearing, protected my bum when cycling and the main reason great to wear.
