I Think About Thinking Thoughts

~Untitled~

by: Rob Paquin

A twisted world of webbed timelines
A twisted thought, I thought was mine.
I viewed a twisted sky so fine
But the twisted sun refused to shine

In a twisted dream, of my own making
I was a twisted wretch so soon forsakened.
And in my twisting I reawakened
To another dream, there was no mistaking

Between twisted stars that don't align
I found twisted Gods now enshrined
Existing in twisted paradigms
Of twisted reason within twisted rhymes

It smooths all thoughts like calm's remaking
A world now filled with wonder's waking
Like a long lost love, and all it's aching
A heart so much stronger from it's breaking !

Great poem, overall.
But the last two lines - just brilliant! Seen in isolation they form a quotable quote.
