I Have a Question

Does anyone else ever feel embarrassed because of actions by other people in there country or even maybe just there area?
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
Lol, yup. I am American and this is the first year when I'll be able to cast a vote for president. And ugh, look at my two choices????? This is the best we can do?? 😒
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Money lol sorry
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Sulusuwakis: Well, if the presidential election does come down to the 435 members of the House of Representatives, then I think the coin of that realm is power, not money.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Yes your probably right there

I feel terrible when I meet people sometimes from other countries if there's been something bad, like for instance the football idiots currently,
GlassDog · 41-45, M
@Sulusuwakis So many lies here. If people just integrated and got to know each other, they'd see people from around the world are great!
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Oh no I think often about lots of things this way,it just so happens football is the current thing with so many morons
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Oh yes, I live in Oklahoma and there are always people doing ass-holish things here that get in the news. Public school teachers getting caught in sex relationships with students, law enforcement officers being abusive or getting caught stealing, animal abusers, child abuse, etc. Not to mention the scandals our local lawmakers get caught up in often.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Tonight there's millions of pounds of so called football players gonna start soon running around like headless chickens, they should be paid on winning results only,it's a joke all them millions on a pitch and not one worth 5 percent of there money.
There will be more action from the idiots off the pitch fighting for sure humiliating England again
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I was born in uk but I think I'm lucky been half Korean and half English instead of from maybe some possible places as I'm treated very nice by others, but I have seen some horrible things with some people from other countries even though there like me born in uk
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Yes very much so
Sueisright · 31-35, F
A friend is from Mauritius I say unfortunately for her because of how she's treated as she's very pretty girl but she dosent look from there she's always accused of been from Pakistan or that kind area and she is often treated badly
Sueisright · 31-35, F
How's this for a scam Tony Blair the ex prime minister that went to war at every opportunity, he's now our peace embassador lol biggest joke of the century
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Haha that's about like Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize isn't it?
GlassDog · 41-45, M
@Sulusuwakis Yeah, that's the thing. It's cultural. I don't understand why we're so resistant to other cultures. I'm fascinated by them and always want to know more.
GlassDog · 41-45, M
Completely. Here in Britain, some of the people talking about immigration really bother me. It's like they think they're different from people from other countries.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
English was hard enough never mind trying to learn Korean,I kept telling mum I wasn't made for academic things and took many years for her to agree lol
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Not doing any better in uk. It's gotta be the year of the lies (new Chinese year I think). Not a politician in uk that's not giving full out lies
Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
I think every country has plenty to be embarrassed about, yes the football idiots for sure, and the entire political system here in the US
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I've even lied sometimes and say I'm only Korean lol not saying it's not corrupt etc there but it's not really reported here much lol
GlassDog · 41-45, M
Aww, if you can't even fool yourself, there's no hope! Maybe if you say nothing at all, people will assume you don't speak English!
lizzielost · F
English football hooligans, pushy British people on holiday in Europe, Nigel Farage just about anywhere . . .
Joedirt88 · M
Yes. My home town went down hill. I sometimes don't like saying I'm from it.

All the time... All the time.

Decent, intelligent people are a rarity here.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I always told mum the Korean bit is my bottom half not the top half
GlassDog · 41-45, M
@Sulusuwakis I'd probably do the same, if I could!
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Problem is my mega limited Korean lets me down lol
mic11225 · 26-30, M
I live in the south(of the US) so yes, all the time.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Lol yes Donald Duck oh sorry trump
Sueisright · 31-35, F
They get in government which officially the pay is pretty average in fact but after one term of scamming they come out rich,if in a second term come out very rich and any terms after they come out top directors of companies that they've unofficially helped out during there time,

Yes very much so
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Sulusuwakis: American football is really big here, the head football coach for the university is getting a raise in his salary, he'll be making 5.5 million dollars not including bonuses. Highest paid public employee in the entire state of Oklahoma.🏈
berangere · 80-89, F
Yes, many of us do.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Here were paying for second homes,3rd homes, transport when there not going anywhere, holidays u name it there scamming, even when caught they put one of there own in charge of investigating so they find for them it's corruption by every one of them.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I just feel bad when I see or read something then I go to a competition or some thing and have to be face to face with people from other countries and all I think of is the bad stupid things that just happened and feel bad and embarrassed always
Sueisright · 31-35, F
It's horrendous the corruption in every country,it seems more obvious in poorer countries because they don't even bother to hide it but as you move up to richer countries they hide it more but it's even worse in general
SW-User
I'd say more disappointed than embarrassed by others behaviour which in turn reflects bad on the area/country. I expect people in other countries feel exactly the same way.

Yes, I've worked with lots of Chinese people (one was learning Cantonese as an adult) and he found it so difficult. Also, lots of the tones sound similar and it's easy to say the wrong one.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Wayne Rooney the so called captain of England football is paid 300k a week English pounds so that is about half a million dollars a week
Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
My girlfriend is Korean but born in the US, her mom and dad were from Korea and she has a hard time learning Korean as well and can't speak it very well.

Lol I can't even fool myself and I'm so angry too my sister learnt so easily she speaks both fluently,no matter how many red bums I got it didn't change things
GlassDog · 41-45, M
Haha! That's a funny way of thinking of it. I sometimes think the left hand side of my body is Welsh, the right side is English, and my little finger is Irish.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Yes I made that mistake lots lol as one word said differently can mean very very different and sometimes bad things lol
GlassDog · 41-45, M
I remember the sound was a little bit like that. It's all how long you hold the tone, and the stress in it, isn't it?
Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
Probably the case across the world really, and through most of history. But yes can be embarrassing as a US Citizen to travel.

Donald and Hillary too, it's such a depressing year of small minded evil candidates for us. Amazing how far we are stepping back.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
It's criminal the figures that there paid because you deffinately can't say they earn it
Sueisright · 31-35, F
It's like Thai Mar is horse, dog and some thing very bad which dosent really interpret properly
GlassDog · 41-45, M
Haha! My friend wanted to use a word for something nice (can't remember what) and called his mum a cow!
