I Have a Question

Why do people ask others to be their mom, father, or siblings online? Sometimes they even ask if anyone wants to be their daughter or son. And it's not to be perverted, they ask their online friends or anyone willing to volunteer. Last year, on a social app, someone asked me to be their mom but I didn't know what that meant so I declined the offer. Does anyone know, or have a guess, on what that's about?

Fetish.
They like to be dominated sexually and be used as slave or like someone being in charge of them. Telling them do this and that. And it gets them off.

So parents are like authority figures. So they just say daddy or mom etc.

I have wondered this, too. All I see is that it's for perverted reasons.
I didn't know that, but it is probably because there are not enough moms who act like moms, and they yearn for a real mother!!!! But beyond that there is a metaphysical or spiritual yearning in all of us for a mother --which is why Marian devotion is so popular -- even among the not so religious.

It's a fetish

@alexandriaruins: all fetishes are kind of weird

True haha
You are probably right -- although I was not aware of this phenomena. We live in a hypersexualized age where feelings, needs and emotions are easily hotwired into sex.
