I Have Written a Short Story
With a face devoid of emotion; clad in standard beach attire, he walks into the water. He lets the tide take him, sweeping him out to sea. Doesn't take long for the water out there to turn red with his blood; nor does it take long for the Coast Guard to rush out and take him back ashore. The crowds look on with thankful hearts; a life has been saved. But alas, no. No life has been saved. The body has been preserved, complete with its organs mostly intact. But no life has been saved. For his life was taken by tragedy, and he was torn away from his impending reunion.
