Movies and books.....now they're a HUGE part of my life.

Film adaptions of books? I've got splinters from sitting on the fence. Some are great, some not....

I'm a Sci Fi nut so love 'Star Wars', Tolkien, 'Underworld', 'Terminator' etc.....

I thought 'Arrival' was really special too....

Ooooh.....maybe the final 'Hunger Games' book....that did drag but the 2 films were highly entertaining.....

The first 'Divergent' film was kinda better than the book, in some ways, but less so in others......

What about you?

[i]LA Confidential[/i], where the film was [i]much [/i]more concise and focussed than it's source, and trimmed out some really distracting & unfocussed subplots.

[i]The Abyss[/i], I think, also worked better than the book version, even though it was written by one of my favourite authors, Orson Scott Card.

I haven't seen the 3rd HG films yet, I'll be interested to see, as I agree the book was a bit uneven in pace (to be polite lol)
