Would it be possible to make a lie to come true if repeating it a hundred times?

馃
nah you can convince others and almost convince yourself but its still a lie. I think Gandhi said something like "a lie is still a lie even if everyone believes it"

Can't quote a liar and a hypocrite to argue against lies 馃榿

That's what hitler believed
NationalSocialist18-21, M
Not believed also said that and looking at the media and people today, it was right.
Thanos31-35, M
@NationalSocialist: he said it that's how i know 馃槣

Yeah, there's holocaust for example.
The lies were repeated and you people eventually believe them and have forgotten the genocides of British empire that killed nearly 100 million across the globe.

They say "It's easier to fool people than to convince him that they've been fooled"

That's a bit of a scary thought and answer. 馃槅

If each of a hundred different people repeat it in one area, it will become indistinguishable from the truth.
adhane0531-35, M
That's for sure.

Yes, but only if it's a lie about something that you can change. Like if you lie to yourself and say you feel one way when you really feel a different way, repeating it enough might convince you to change your feelings. But if you'e lying about something you can't change, like if you lie to yourself repeatedly and say that Jupiter doesn't exist, it'll never pop out of existence by magic.

I prefer changing for the better and it can be a little scary sometimes.

Its possible to make yourself believe its true.
adhane0531-35, M
I need to brainwash myself to determine which are lies. Lol

@adhane05: LOL. That is what I call unlearning. :P to sift the lies from the truths. But this begs to question, what is truth? Is there just one truth? And many such qns.
If you can trick yourself into believing your lies over time I suppose it could happen, a little like cognitive behavioural therapy 馃
adhane0531-35, M
@nihiless: That's the main reason for my lying. 馃槄
@adhane05: and what do you lie about? 馃
adhane0531-35, M
@nihiless: Sometimes it's about who I am and I don't really know who I am, honestly. Other times I discover as I pray I start confusing with my needs/wants while praying to God.
Goralski51-55, M
I am pretty
adhane0531-35, M
I see what you did there. 馃槒
