Which death of 2k16 has affected you the most?

For me it was David Bowie.
Alan Rickman 🙁

Yep. That was a surprise start of the year. Thought the dude would live till 90s.
@LysanderFremont: indeed yes and there was so much to him :(

Sorry to hear that. I lost my dad.

@Peekaboo: My condolences to both of you.

None of them, honestly. I mean, I didn't know them as people; they were just celebrities. Beyond there not being any future works by them, how could it impact me in any way?

@Kiwi-Dan: I did some really drastic things in my life because of it. Why does it bother you so much that people are affected by someone dying?
SW-User
@PaulMcCartney: I've left this until now so that way I could think over what you said, and not be blinded by frustration like I was last night. It bothers me because of, for lack of a better term, disparity of attention that people show. They'll mourn people they've never met because they like their music/movies/etc while utterly ignoring those closer to them who have far greater impact on their lives. My frustration stems from this disparity, because I tend to get overlooked by almost everyone while having to watch people go on and on about a celebrity they don't even know. It would be different if they were your personal friend or a family member, and not part of a one-sided "relationship" (for lack of a better term) that they have no idea is even going on. Does that make sense?
PaulMcCartney · 26-30, F
@Kiwi-Dan: well not everyone has someone close. I don't really talk to my family and I am not that close to them. I also don't have friends or people close enough to call a friend. I feel closer to the musicians more than my own family. I can relate to them more than my family. Nota everyone is the same.

My grandmother.

That's sad. I'm so sorry. I love my grandmas

@SimplyTracie: Thank you. She was 96 years old, so at least she lived a long life.

Right when I was starting to get into her personality and her talks about mental disorders (I loved she talked about that in the open)... BAM.

She certainly has a legacy. Her and her mom.
DarthMalia · 26-30, F
@LysanderFremont: a huge legacy

Kanye West.
@blackwhitejester: Independent maybe :/ I am not sure if anyone would actually take him seriously - Dan Bilzerian is a more believable candidate than him
totalrandoman · 100+, M
Independent would never win. If HE took it seriously, other people would begin to. It's what happened with Trump. He took his campaign seriously, and then other people began to take him seriously. It would spell disaster for whatever party he ran for.

@PaulMcCartney: he's still alive
George Michael and Prince.
