Are you content in your own skin?

If so, were you always? If you became that way, how? If you're not comfortable, why not? Can you change that? Do you want to?
Visaic · 31-35, M
Am now, wasn't always. Was fat once, so I changed. Kung Fu, MMA, and SAS training + 70% healthy / 30% w/e the **** I wanted to eat helped a lot. Confidence was lacking hard in grade school and university as well. After college I just stopped caring about what anyone thought. It helps living in a city too... you don't see most of the people you pass ever again.

True, true! I too was bullied as a kid, and was rather self conscious as a result. I also lived in a small town with one high school, so there was no escape til college! Over the years I've been through many challenges which have shaped and molded me, and through the kiln of experience, I've come to know, and even like myself. The trek here was one I'd not soon repeat, if ever, but I think worth it ultimately. It also helped when I moeved to a city. It's not big, but not many people know me from where I was raised, and now, I am confident in who I am. If others like me, cool. If they don't, oh well. I am also on a getting healthier journey, and in the last 14 months, I've dropped 5 pants sizes and 125 lbs. I am not athletic, but I am active, I walk EVERYWHERE! The day before yesterday, I walked 9 miles! Today I only walked 4. Usually I walk 4-6 miles a day. Walking is fun to me, and I'm even thinking about walking a half marathon. Due to OsteoArthritis, I'm not allowed to run, or jog very much, but I think it might be fun. My sister does marathons. I still have a bit more to go, but so far, ******** excellent progress!!
No. There's precious little about myself that I like, physically speaking at least. Could change some of it with diet and exercise, could change the rest with plastic surgery (in principle). Just not interested. After all, what's the point?

Well, I think it's very important to be comfortable with your body. Inside, and out. It's not easy to get there, but in my opinion, it is worth it to feel good. It's not easy but it really is worth it. :-)

I am comfortable in my own skin. I came to the realization that we do the best with what life has given us. We either make the best of that or we are unhappy.

Very true. You have to play the best with what you have always. I had to learn that the hard way, but I did learn it and cherish that lesson in my heart. You are very wise! :-)
Yes, I am... and no, I wasn't always so loving of myself.
PeanutsauntieP1982 · 41-45, F
Same here. Was it a long journey for you to get to that point? It sure was for me!
PeanutsauntieP1982 · 41-45, F
Why only sometimes?
Because im a human & i have insecurities
PeanutsauntieP1982 · 41-45, F
That makes sense. We all do to some degree, no matter what we tell ourselves, or the image we try to show others. I know I have my insecurities, bit over all, I'm ok with what I have. It could use improvements, but can't we all?

Those of us comfortable with our bodies enough to call ourselves home nudists have a better self esteem. Those who don't feel good about themselves should try home nudity for a week. I bet they will feel slightly better about themselves.

Yes. Been a nudist since I was a teenager, as in almost 60 years ago. Just spent the afternoon at our local nudist resort.

I meeean... id rather be super fit like the models and stuff... but i just cant be arsed. I like food and hate working out 😂
PeanutsauntieP1982 · 41-45, F
I know what you mean abou liking food and not being motivated. What finally made me do something though, was the difficulty my weight was giving me with my arthritis. Now that I have shed some needed weight, my body feels much better ( and I like my smaller pants size!)
