I sort of understand... A while back I was missing the connection I had with an online friend. We're still in touch, but we've both changed...the closeness we had is now gone and stays in the past.

That's a good point. Is it the person or the connection? Though, if it weren't for the person and their qualities, you wouldn't have the connection. I think it's both.

I have a connection that's been continuing for a couple of years. We've discontinued chatting just a few of times but each time we return to one another. We've developed a close relationship and seem to feel like a part of us is missing without the other.

Yeah. I had a good friend I met on YouTube and we got along great. We started emailing each other, talking family, dreams and hopes, exchanging pictures of our countries (no sexual stuff) And for a while I got nothing from her. Finally 8 weeks later she tells me she's found her "mate" and he doesn't approve of us being friends. But she promised to sneak an email in once in a while. ..that was 3 months ago. I miss her terribly:(

Yes and I miss it often, but it would be selfish of me to wish he would come back. It wasn't just that connection we had that I miss. I truly miss him and his very essence. He was one of the most incredible beings that I have had the pleasure of knowing. 😞

i have made a couple of connections that lasted a couple of years and yes i do sometimes wish they would come back.

I miss a couple I use to have. And I know it's more the person because I've met them.
