What are some far-from-glamorous jobs that are worth it for other reasons?

Hospice care, neighborhood rehabitation, bartender, cab driver, convenience store clerk, activity teacher in a home for mentally handicapped kids, bereavement counselor, forest ranger, mineral and oil surveying, field service troubleshooter, claims investigator, police photographer, librarian, undertaker.

Any job I suppose if you're that sort of person not looking for big money or glamour.

I work for the RSPCA and cleaning up endless piss and shit is hard work but it's so rewarding .
