It is stupid, in my opinion, if you are not in a real relationship, and no matter how you slice it you are being used. Some people may be okay with that, I am not.

Depends. If it's what you want. If you're in the mood. For me, if it's a person you like. And how it is done, how things are phrased. That's just me. I like words, reading/listening. Not the same connection as in real life. Sometimes it's just empty. If you don't see the point you probably won't like it but who knows. I cant get out much so it used to be my sort of alternative at times, but as I said, don't always like it.

Sure. It can feel very real if it's with someone meaningful to you.

It can be if the other person has a good sense of humor about it, and just enjoys it. If they don't it can be awkward and dull.

It can be fun if you actually have some connection with the other person and are willing to roll with the punches.

My wife will do so on occasion. We use it as a build up while we are apart.
