2009, reubles visits Los Angeles! (for the second time)

late february, 2009 reubles and siblings are fresh off the plane from Logan international airport to Lax, and after gathering their luggage are greeted by their host for the following week and a half. he asks us about our flight and if we're hungry. we all agree that something quick would be great and he suggests an In-N-Out that's close by...
upon arriving at the burger place reubles and fam place their orders, find a place to sit and wait for their food.
reubles scans the radio stations on his music player and makes small talk with a few patrons. one of those patrons seemed really friendly, and began chatting up a storm with mr reubs, reubles notes that everyone's quite friendly and the weather seems pleasant and hopes that is remains relatively warm throughout their stay. the woman then collects her order and they share an awkward wave as she leaves...
the host then nudges reubles
host: DO YOU REALIZE WHO THAT WAS?!
puzzled reubles: "a tranny?"
host: THAT'S ~redacted~ from the LA SPARKS!

host: THE WNBA STAR!?
reubles: well that explains the height...
