Why do people assume that I have daddy issues?

Jokes on you. I have a great relationship with my dad. I have severe mommy issues instead. Yay... I win for once in my life... You see that mom? I WIN.
*sobs into pillow frantically making beached whale sounds*
No, but seriously. My mom is a raging psycho who tries to control everything I do and has ruined every important moment in my life. I'm seriously considering cutting ties with her but at the same time I'm still that little girl looking for my mom's love and approval, knowing full well that I'll never receive and ounce of it. Anyone else have mommy issues or is it just me?

Yeah, but your mom has a reason as to why she's like that. My mom's just terrible to only me for reasons I'll never understand, because she'd never treat my brother the same way she has treated me my whole life. Like she even admitted that since I was born she didn't know how to love me.

@NaturallyPeculiar: yikes. Well, I think everyone has their reasons--Not that they are all justified. My mom's mom was like that, too. Except the reason she just ignored my mom and her twin was because she had them out of wedlock, so she was embarrassed. Literally pretended like they didn't exist, and if faced with their existence... No food, no affection, no love, death threats, and beatings and such.

Anyway. Something like that could possibly be why your mother is the way she is. Probably has to do with her mother. But who cares? Fuck 'er. If shes a bitch, shes a bitch.
