i wonder, people say they are afraid of an alien invation?

but when we went to America for the firs time all iour illnesses killed them. because they weren't immune, wouldn't it be even worse if its from different planets?

I don't believe it's possible for life to reach us, if it exists. I'm more worried about government hoaxes than real aliens.

4 threat cards, in order:
[x] Soviet Union
[x] Terrorists
[ ] Asteroids
[ ] Extraterrestrials

I was actually referencing Werner Von Braun who stated from his death bed that the government as it was when he died would use those threats, in that order, to justify creating a new generation of weaponry

what new weaponry? and well i think asteroids azre aworse then anythign else

I don't know the specifics, but this was well after the Manhattan project, so I imagine something more powerful than nuclear arms. There are rumors on the internet that he was talking about Tesla-based technology, but I don't know enough about that to have an opinion.

Yeah, what Teirdalin says, alien diseases would not be adopted to human biology. Kinda like their computers wouldn't be vulnerable to our viruses... However, as long as we don't have any verified aliens (except for Elon Musk and maybe me), it's premature to really say what alien diseases are or aren't. And funnily enough, War of the Worlds and The Andromeda Strain did explore that issue in fiction.

cool :) well maybe because we would have a completely different anatomy we might have no problem. but if their computers works with 1's and 0's and uses kinda the same hardware as us we could infect them right?

Bacterium and virus evolved with us, and with the hundreds of thousands of agents that can cause sickness there really aren't that many that can be passed to other species on our own planet. The chance of a bacterium infecting an alien species? Less than slim to none.
popmol · 22-25, M
even more slim if you think that the chance of aliens finding us being 0.0000000001 % or something
Teirdalin · 31-35
Well we had human illnesses. Alien illnesses probably would not influence us on the same level as humans traveling from a foreign lands would.

are yo usure? we are still reletively close and it almost t ook out their entire population. so woudn't it be worse for an alien? maybe we would die of their viruses?
Teirdalin · 31-35
"are yo usure?"
Nope.
popmol · 22-25, M
are you sure? i'm sorry :p
well probably
