It almost feels like people are paid to use the block button

I mean, I don't come on here trying to annoy people or fishing for pictures, so I'm not going around being a nuisance trying to get blocked. I would rarely get blocked on EP, but it seems many people on here block just for the hell of it. I've already being blocked after I did not want to discuss someone's kids, after I didn't reply quick enough as I fell to sleep. Aren't we forgetting that the people on the other end are human beings with value and feelings?

This place seems to have had an up-welling of the butthurt scene.
EP was older, when the internets were more wild west, but with PC & SJW (that term never gets old) now taking over media outlets like this, everyone just wants to hear their own thought & beliefs regurgitated back to them like the mindless idiots most of them are.

block that beyotches.

Hearted for attesting to what PC and SJW is doing to rational thought. Actually a heart for all of it, an increasing number of people dont want to think or want to make effort, just want quick pleasure, a simple life. However, i like debate, hard work, the stimulation of the mind.

I've been blocked by people I don't even know, and tbh I couldn't care less..I'm glad they have removed their overly offended, judgmental selves from my view.

I wasn't getting sensitive, I was just wondering if it happened to other people.
[c=#BF0080]If someone blocking you hurts your feelings then you are way too sensitive.[/c]

Where did I say it hurt my feelings? If anything it was just a little annoyed to get cut off mid conversation, and wondered if anyone received similar conduct.
[c=#BF0080]You said that "people on the other end are human beings with value and feelings".. thought that's what you meant.[/c]

@pinkrainbowkisses: Ah, I meant that more like, why go onto the internet, the ultimate platform to exchange ideas, if you are inclined to block out other people so thoughtlessly? you know?:) Seems to defeat the point of being connected to the world.
Myzery · 41-45, F
But, why does it bother you? I do understand, believe me.
However, if strangers on the Internet have power over your emotions/feelings, then I would advise avoiding the Internet. I have to on days where I am feeling hypersensitive.

@Myzery: I can understand that looking like my feelings were hurt. I meant more like, "you've gone onto the internet, you know you are going to meet ideas you may not agree with and that is the point of the internet with it's ability to so easily connect people, so why come onto the internet if you are so inclined to block off people?" :)
Myzery · 41-45, F
I wonder that too, but then I just figure that those individuals are looking for something different and whatever that is is none of my concern. 😊

@Myzery: 👍🏻

I can't imagine why someone would block you, Steve. You're so polite.

pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@Outoforbits: I have never heard of them. I have spoken to callmehopelessnotromantic though. On here, and EP.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@pinkrainbowkisses: Who?
I only block trolls, rude people, and mainly spam posters who post every 10 minutes and it clogs up my feed.
Serenitree · F
If people are blocking you for petty reasons, you're much better off without them.
yuki4you · 31-35, F
So there are people do that here.
