What should be written on your gravestone ?

words ? quotes ? symbols ? be reasonable about what actually can be done on a gravestone (no holographic future gavestones)

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

A good question. And I have to say, not many good answers.

Have you ever heard of Fanny Crosby? A prolific 19th century hymnwriter, a devout Christian, blind from infancy. Google her, a fascinating personality. Hers is a quote from Scripture: "She hath done what she could."

What about yours?

😟 I want to live my life so that a lot of people will care when I've left.

I like what the writer and performer Sir Spike Milligan had on his.
"See ! I told you I was ill !"
Or failing that, maybe this. Which I once had on a T-shirt.
"When I was in a sober mood, I'd worry; work and think.
When I was in a drunken mood, I'd gamble, fight and drink !
Now my moods are over and my time has come to pass. I hope I'm buried upside down so the world can kiss my @r$€ !
