@Kuronekko: They can if they study his Word. He gave it to us, so we would know how to have eternal life when we die, and not have to guess. Plus, it's free, just for the asking. God is perfect. He can't lie. He's trustworthy. If he wasn't, I sure wouldn't have spent the last 43 years after I got saved, telling people about him. Notice I said [b]after[/b] I got saved, because you can't earn your way to heaven by good works or anything else. One is saved by grace, which is unearned favor from God, through faith.

I used to think the same, but God's Word showed me differently. If we could save ourselves, then of course that would be [i]us[/i] doing the saving, and not Jesus. It would defeat the whole purpose of Jesus dying on the cross. It took a [u]sinless[/u] sacrifice to pay for our sins. That leaves us out. "For by [b]grace[/b] are you saved through faith, and not of ourselves, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8 @Luzcolours:

No. I believe it is some kind of brain abnormality. The brain is so complex, that every single psychological / emotional anomaly known to man stems from some intricate imperfection or flaw in that 'organ'. I truly believe that if man doesn't destroy himself first, he will someday be able to turn monsters into saints with nano-surgery.
