How do you think we'd be living now if Hitler had won the war?

It's very hard to tell, but as for guessing. If Hitler had won most of Europe would have been Reich territory or subject states for a time. The USSR would likely have never recovered and receded far to the east, and Reich resources would have been poured into Eastern Europe to try to control and stabilize the region. It wouldn't last very long though, as it broke down into various rebellions and perhaps a civil war. The Reich would eventually collapse and New European states resembling the old would have been carved out of it. Vestiges of the Reich would remain intact in some strongholds, but infighting and stagnation would make them unable to project influence very well. Hitler's death at some point along the way would likely serve as a spark for the collapse. Ironically it might have made communism more popular in Europe, as a backlash against the Reich. Without the USSR to fill its historic role opposite the United States, the Cold War looks very different. The US mirrors the authoritarian rise in Europe, but as its adversary. Steeling itself against the machinations of the Reich rather than the USSR, clandestinely supporting both Eastern and Western European rebel groups against them. Nuclear proliferation takes longer, and it's first use occurs in the former USSR rather than in Japan. Galvanizing the resistance to the Reich. I'm just rambling and speculating. The whole thing is too complex to have a confident idea though.

It would be about as it is now, with different words here and there in modern history textbooks, because, while Germany and Hitler lost the war...the Nazis [i]didn't.[/i]

The Man in the High Castle by Philip K Dick explore the possibility of that alternate history. The US is partitioned between the Japanese half and the German half in his novel. It is inplausible that America would have fallen but hey.

I think Science would still have advanced, the NAZIs were big on that, albeit riding on the coat-tails of a brilliant generation of intellectuals schooled under the Wiemar Republic. Political correctness? Not so much. It would have been a horrible oppressive society with walls, mass surveillance and crude nationalism.

No empire lasts forever. I forget what real historians say, but I think it would've come to an end pretty soon. You have to factor in what's meant by "won" of course. Hitler's death would've mattered less, but eventually it'd just gone the way of Soviet Union with everyone pretty much agreeing that was a bad idea, even more so than now when many people are even denying any of the evils happened. Of course a lot would be different, and lot of populations wiped out in the meanwhile.

If he won the war, he wouldn't have ruled for ever. Till next 2 or 3 decades forces would have collided and may be we'd have seen a couple of more world wars, till he was done.

If Hitler would have won the war my grandparents including my mother would have been killed in a concentration camp and I never would have been born!
