Do you believe that the minimum wage in the US should be at least $10 an hour ?

They are fighting to get this bill passed soon. But Trump wants to businesses to decide. Rumor has it that many fast food CEO's would rather it be at $9.
What do you think. Its the year 2016, and the cost of living has gone up.
Should the minimum wage in the US be at least $10 per hour. 🙂

I have a feeling minimum wage and unions are about to go away. All of those morons who voted for Trump and depend on a minimum wage law or a union are about to lose everything.

What makes you say that.

I think mcdonalds and walmart should b allowed to own slaves to keep my cost of living down
I can tell you that Walmart workers are slaves. The family that owns the company are some of the greediest people in USA

@SBelle: Yes. Wal Mart is bigger than big. I think they should pay their workers more and give better benefits.

@SBelle: Do you understand the concept of business? The board of directors makes the decisions. The alleged greed of the family is irrelevant. And, quite frankly, since mrs. clintoon is no longer on the board their decisions have been much better, more worker friendly.

It depends where. In big cities, yes. If you can't earn enough in an hour to buy a burger where you live, then something is wrong.

Is moving to a smaller city and option for you.
Trump always said that the American Worker's wages were too high and that is why jobs are going overseas. The latest is him blaming Carrier workers for their jobs going to Mexico because they didn't want to lower their wages (below minimum wage). How do you "Make America Great Again" by telling middle class workers "they need to lower their wages and standard of living in order to keep their jobs in America"? Doesn't this sound like a HUGE sellout to corporations? For the workers who voted for Trump, do you really need another blow to your standard of living? Trump is not your friend, but he wants to be your master.

I'm sure there are millions of Americans who voted for Trump who think building a wall and kicking out illegals will benefit them. They are going to replace those illegals. And at much less than they are now being paid.

Absolutely.. Minimum wage workers are a necessity in our country and they should be paid more.

If a minimum of $10 is to expensive for a company, they better close their business ore go to dark Africa with it.

Jobs that pay minimum wage were never intended to support a family. Those jobs are for kids in high school, college and older people who want something to do. The only reason heads of households are working minimum wage jobs these days is because they have made stupid decisions and have bogged themselves down with more responsibility than they are prepared to support. How freaking dumb does one have to be to get pregnant at 15 and have 2 or 3 kids before the age of 20 and then wonder why you can't make ends meet. It's not always someone else's job to fill in the blanks when you conduct yourselves like fucking morons. Live with it.

its not that. even college degree jobs can be around 9-12 dollars an hour. its just you need to have some thing in the health field or auto in order to make ends meet.

Its New World Order propaganda. Less people and more machines.
lorne13 · 61-69, M
it would have to be at least $15 to equal what it was 40 years ago
Zonuss · 41-45, M
Yes, I agree. There is a lot of regulation, and greed in corporate America.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
Jobs will be lost, businesses might close, cost will rise.
Yes I think so. When you think of the cost of just day to day living even that is not enough.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
I see.
