Even CNN admits that CNN is fake news.

CNN published an article about a pro-Trump PepsiCo boycott in which it said that the boycott was inspired by fake news blog The Gateway Pundit. They stated that TGP published a quote from PepsiCo's CEO which was proven to be a fake quote, although TGP never published that quote at all.

They later removed TGP's name from the news article and added a disclaimer at the end, but still kept the article up. Here's the disclaimer:
Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story characterized Gateway Pundit as a website "designed to trick people." That was not accurate. The Gateway Pundit is a political blog based in St. Louis that is popular among conservatives. CNNMoney has removed that characterization and regrets the error.
This story also reported that Gateway Pundit had published a widely circulated misquote of public comments made by the CEO of Pepsi. CNNMoney has been unable to confirm that Gateway Pundit repeated that misquote.
So there you have it. Fake news about fake news.

Why would they remove the article? It is accurate.

They removed the reference to TGP and added a note, explaining what happened. That's honesty.

a lot of news is fake in that it gets a liberal or conservative twist to it.
