So torture is ok ?

Nearly half of Americans believe it acceptable to torture enemy combatants, according to a new survey which suggests that 15 years of warfare have significantly recast American attitudes on torture.

The poll, conducted by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), found that 46% of Americans believe it acceptable to torture enemy combatants, with just 30% opposed to the practice and another 24% unsure or unwilling to answer.

Only Nigeria and Israel record higher rates of support for torturing captured enemy fighters, with 70% and 50% endorsements, respectively.

And I would bet my entire savings account that if each and every one of them actually witnessed someone being tortured in the worst ways imaginable, they wouldn't be wishing torture on anyone. But if they still would then they got as much issues as any serial killer.

With Trump Americans have started losing the moral high ground on such issues anyways.

I'd say it probably depends entirely on the context of who is being tortured. If someone was caught about to bomb a public place they can do whatever they want with them for all I care; while if someone was just causing problems or perhaps assaulted someone; torture would be too much.

Hell yeah dude. I saw something like that on 24 and this s**t really works. You gotta be medieval to defend freedom sometimes.
I think this is so high only because most Americans don't really know what it means. To hear something explained and to experience that same thing are two totally different levels of 'knowing'.

I don't support the death penalty, nor do I support torture.
