They are resting some players yes.
Because they need to manage the players carefully because the world cup selection is coming up.
Also Crusaders will be giving more opportunites to younger players since most of the seniors are playing their last season.

@IamLara Shouldn't be any reason to rest players in round three. I don't believe that argument. Exploring depth and developing the squad yes, but not rest at this stage of the season.

@KiwiBird AllBlacks got very few seniors who are playing their last RWC.
If you look at most of the games, they rested seniors who are AllBlacks.
Ardie savia and TJ Perenara was rested today as well. So as Richie mounga.
So as few others in other sides.
AllBlacks are very shaky right now.
If any of those seniors get injured before selection, it will be a massive blow to the RWC hopes.

@IamLara The managing of AB players in Super Rugby hasn't changed just because it is a RWC year. Similar to last year they can not play more than five consecutive games for Super Rugby Franchises including the three finals.
