Golf Has Too Many Dumb Rules

Anyone watch the LPGA ANA Inspirational Finals? What did you think of the win? Do you agree with the ruling against Lexi?

I for one, think golf has too many outdated, ridiculous rules. I feel so sorry for her, as well as all the golfers (not fair to Suzann to play beside all the controversy, and not fair to So Yeon to have the thrill of victory taken away from her). The public should stay out of it and leave the officiating up the officials.

I should only hope my daughters can learn to have as much resilience and drive when facing life's obstacles. Lexi handled it in such a mature and classy manner. Luckily, this is not the last we've heard from this talented young woman.

What they need to do is stop the ridiculous trend of allowing armchair viewers to call infractions. There's a rules official walking with every group in a professional tournament. If the player, partner (s) or rules official doesn't call it, then treat it like it didn't happen.

There is always the human factor in all sports. The "right call" is the best call the official/ref/umpire could make with what he/she saw at the moment. Let the players play, the officials officiate, and just enjoy the athleticism of these talented individuals.

What happened?

Someone emailed the LPGA this morning that Lexi replaced her ball down like a centimeter away from her marker yesterday. Because she turned in her scorecard, she was penalized 2 strokes for the infraction, and 2 strokes for turning in a wrong scorecard.
She ended up in a tie and lost in a playoff.

What a bunch of losers. Like a centimeter really makes a difference? Sheesh!

Absolutely ridiculous. I'm not even a real golf fan, and not too familiar with Lexi. But I was just amazed at how composed she was and how she carried herself.
I played by my own rules. LOL

Rich kid problems

Nope. Real life lessons. Rich, poor.. we all need to learn to face adversities. And she did it with more class than 99% of us, rich or poor would have.
