Bowling ball number

What number do you use? 14, 12, 10, 8 or 6?

I guess the higher the number, the heavier the balls are.

I have tried a 12...wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 2 heavy, so had to scale it back. Does it affect your score, what weight of ball you use?

The numbers are the weights in pounds, with 16 being the heaviest and what serious competitors use. That’s way too much for me. I use a 10 or a 12.

I'm old fashioned - I use a 16 pound ball.
