[b]ALBANY[/b] — Monroe sophomore Marianna Wright had a busy afternoon Saturday at Hugh Mills Stadium as she competed in the annual Westover Relays.

She took second place in the girl’s 100-meter dash, won the girl’s 200-meter dash in a photo-finish with Westover’s Madison Mitchell, then won the 300-meter hurdles with a personal best time that broke the Georgia record in Class 3A and is the second fastest time in the nation this year. She had set the national record in the 400-meter hurdles last summer.

“God did it,” Wright said after Saturday’s meet. “It feels surreal.”
