Something I have never said before

I'm looking forward to the NCAA women's basketball final four more than the men.

Caitlan Clark and Iowa vs Paige Bueckers and UConn. And no matter who wins, they will be an underdog against South Carolina in the final. Should be fun.

The men's side looks like no one can even come close to UConn.
Women's basketball has really grown in popularity over the last few years. I went to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games in Portland this year and it was a lot of fun. I looked at the ticket prices for both the men's and women's Final Four...women's tickets are actually more expensive for comparable seats.

@BizSuitStacy Do the men even play the finals in a normal basketball arena anymore. Isn’t it mostly domed football stadiums now.

I went to two final fours. The Superdome in New Orleans in 1982 and the Kingdome in Seattle in 1984. If we had actually sat in our assigned seats we would have needed binoculars just to see the floor.
@eli1601 Ahhh...maybe it's a supply thing. Triple or quadruple seat capacity and charge a lower price. Nose bleed seats at a basketball game isn't that much fun. You can more on tv. I was lucky to get row F down near the basket in Portland...much better than watching on tv.

@BizSuitStacy The stadiums now do have the huge video screens so if you have what they call "limited view" seats you can still watch the game while being in the arena.

What we found out back in the eighties was after the semi's on Saturday, the fans of the two losing teams leave town and you could tip an usher to get a good seat for the Monday final. That's how I had a great view of Michael Jordan's winning shot in '82.

You shouldn’t assume South Carolina will get to the finals.

@therighttothink50 I should have said, "most likely" South Carolina.
