Should car racing be considered an athletic sport, if the car does most of the work?

Same question, but horse racing or horse dancing (which I believe is an Olympic sport), should these be considered an athletic sport (for human's) when the horse does most the work?

They are sports but more kind like talent in control on mobile. Like F1 or MotoGP.

When you mentioned about poker and jockey, they more like calculation and probability and some mind games.
Jockey is combo of talent controlling the game by winning the horse and the player and the one who's betting. .

I am not sure if chess fall into sports category. But it could since it more like mind and strategy games.
