The Hell of the North: Paris - Roubaix (2021) 馃悾

So after 2 years of abscense my favorite race returns this weekend. 257 km (159,6 miles) of cycling drama, as the racers try to balance and wobble their way over 50 km (31 miles) of 30 crooked cobblestone strokes. Something local authorities have been trying to make "as good as they get" after 2 years of neglect and driving heavy farmer vehicles over them.

To end their hellish ride on the V茅lodrome Andr茅-P茅trieux. One more lap on this classic circuit seperates those that make it up there from holding the glorious first price... a mounted cobblestone for their collection of trophees. This can be a victory lap after taking a phenomenal lead in the early game, or a tactical masterpiece on a circuit that allows for an incredible sprint.

This will be the 118th edition of this spectacle. And the weather reports so far have been expecting rain. Not good for the cyclists, because it makes the terrain only more treacherous. It delivers extra flavor for the viewers who can indulge in their sadistic tendencies, as their heros race over the track that has been labeled: "The Hell of the North".

So if you have no clue what to do this weekend. The women elites will be riding on saturday and the male elites race on sunday. If there is one bicycle race worth the watch, it's this one!

Yes @adorbz, THIS ONE!!! 馃

This race and the high mountain stages of the Tour de France are as good as cycling gets.

@Harmonium1923 Yeah, but this is my personal favourite. I don't need the mountains, I just love the hardship in the fields. Not to mention the finish in the cycling arena.
