I think this is a really bad day for football. It pretty much means you can ignore any financial regulations in football provided you have the best lawyers.

Some people could throw the allegation of sour grapes at me after the Wembley game 21 yes ago but I agree this smells that you can essentially get away with it if you're big enough.
When rugby saw financial rule breaking they slapped Saracens with demotion. A much better example of how to police this kind of thing.
