If they are consistent enforcing the rules, then who can be against it? 🤷‍♂️

@Kwek00 Not me. The City hierarchy are throwing a hissy fit but you'd expect that. I linked an article in my reply to Picklebob. The evidence is clear to me.

Its probably the end of the City era as a superclub.

@Burnley123 I didn't know what this was about... So I read up on it before I replied. But Manchester City, in their own communication, kinda expected to be punished. So I guess they knew they weren't in the right here. Don't know about the hissy fit, didn't see that... but when people get punished, a common strategy is to present yourself as the victim of some cruel ruling, even tough you did something wrong. So if they are doing that, specially since they are going to bring this for the court again 🤷‍♂️, that's part of a common MO.

I don't care if this first happened to a big club or a small one btw. There are rules, if you don't enforce them, then there are no rules. I just hope that they are consistent. That this isn't something just to hit Man. City. Just be as consistent as you can possibly be, and then the rules are the same for everyone.

@Kwek00 Chill out, I agree with you.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Burnley123 I said my last part in the most chill way possible... no worries

@Kwek00 I feel you have a tendency to take the things I say the wrong way. No worries buddy

@Burnley123 Not this time... I'm pretty sure it was the other way around 😅

I'm not out to get people, just saying what's on my mind.
Man City will be in a bum though. I'm not sure, but I thin certain players won't be happy if they can't play european football. Of course, it all depends on how the contracts are written, but if this makes it trough the second hearing... then I think some players will choose for another team because they are aiming to play European Football.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Kwek00 Yeah City have huge problems. Lack of European football will cut their revenue and for obvious reasons their owners can't subsidise huge losses again. The reputational damage of the ruling will hurt their brand revenue too. I think Pep will leave at the end of the season and the team will break up over the next two years.

Its a shame to see a great side break up and its bad for the Premiership. As you say, rules are rules though and I've never been happy with the Oligarch owning of premiership clubs anyway.

@Burnley123 Well... let's see what happens.

Could be there will be an upcomming soap now. Sometimes when a big player falls then someone starts squeeling like a pig. Just to hurt other players. There is a small chance that if there is dirt on other teams, that it comes up in the upcomming weeks. I know it's all hypotheticals, but it has happened over here more then once 😅

@Kwek00 I heard that Anderlect once got done in a huge bribary scandal but I don't know much about Belgium.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Burnley123 The scandal you are probably talking about had more to do with player brokers and a lot of shady deals. And 2 referees that started wearing fancy watches over night 😅 It wasn't just Anderlecht, a number of clubs that these brokers work with. And after a year of research, things are slowly moving to a cover up I guess. Because I don't see anny big trials comming up. But I hope they do clean house if they enough evidence.

A few years back, we had a Chinese guy who fixed some matches.

And there is always shady stuff with non paying there taxes or having weird financial constructions.

I'm amazed that in a big competition like the English one there haven't been more things comming to light. Because the pressure is really big, there is loads of money involved, ... and frankly, you guys have a lot of matches that your top teams play each year.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Kwek00 Yes all of that. Basically we are the most free market country and have the most lax financial rules. Its not like the fan ownership and strict spending regulations that german clubs get. Its allowed the league to get huge but so many teams are in massive debt or depend on benefactors.

If uefa hadn't done this, nobody in England would.

@Burnley123 Too much money, after a while it sours the milk 😅
