Premiership season predictions for the top six.

I did this last season and got it mostly right so I'll do it again. Tell me what you think.

1) Man City.

Probably the best team in Europe and imperious over the past two seasons. Astute signings pad out the squad. The only questions are about missing Vincent Kompany's leadership and the fact he leaves them with only three centre backs in the squad.

2) Liverpool.

Obvious second choice and got 97 points last season. I hope I'm wrong but I do feel that they maybe overachieved a bit last season and they would probably need City to drop their level a bit to actually win the title. Great side though.

3) Spurs

Beaten champions league finalists by liverpool last season and look the best of the rest. Levy has finally spent some money adding to the squad and they look slightly better than they did twelve months ago.

4) Arsenal

I had them lower than this yesterday but their great business on deadline day makes them look stronger. Pepe and Tierney will and to what they have and David Luiz and 8 million from chelsea is a steal. They are a work in progress under Emery but moving in the right direction.

5) Chelsea

Lampard will get the most out of them and bring on the young players but this is a squad going through rapid transition. Lots of players have left and lots of youngsters have been promoted to the squad. The loss of Eden Hazard cannot be overestimated because he was their best player and a half. They have a lot of players who are good but not outstanding in every area so it might take time for Lampatd to get to know his best team.

6) Man United.

I predicted what would happen to them last season and got it completely right and now I think they could finish lower than sixth. They youngsters look good but they are not ready to carry a club which has lost its winning culture. Maguire is not an eighty million pound player you can build a side with. Good player - yes - but he doesn't have the presence, pace or leadership of Virgil Van Dyck. King sulk Pogba wants to leave but is still there and selling Lukaku leaves them short of options up front. Anders Herrera has not been replaced and no area of the team looks strong. There is an absense of leadership, pace and commitment throughout the club and Solksaer is probably not up to it. I could even see them being edged out of the top six by the rising middle class. Sorry United fans.

Fair assessment.
I did a scan of the betting websites earlier and the only discrepancy seemed to be where Chelsea; Arsenal and Utd. would finish.

City and Liverpool walked away with it last season and given the sums they spent they both look a class apart. On paper anyway.

On a personal note, i rather fear this will be the last 'hurrah' for the Tottenham boys.
A stupid state of affairs exists where Eriksen and Alderweireld are open to offers from interested clubs thanks to daft clauses in their contracts.
But no English club showed any interest and neither did the Spanish clubs !
And with both players saying they 'want another challenge', kinda hard to see where they could go !

If so. The pair of them can walk for nothing at the end of next season !
As for the rest ? They are all at the right age and experience to go just about anywhere ! And knowing Daniel Levy....

@Picklebobble2 Its a problem you guys have. I think what will happen now is that they will stay with you next season and play most games but thru leave on bosmans. I'm surprised United didn't go for those two because they would have been better value to them than say maguire or dyabla. I don't know of a European team who needs either player for next season and can afford them so I think you will have them next year.

I think spurs will be third.
